Honey and milk are believed to have very high nutrient quantity either individually or when taken together. Honey is derived from bees which make it from sucking nectar while milk comes from a variety of sources such as cows, goats and sheep. The phrase land of milk and honey, meaning plenty, was coined because of the various benefits that they are able to give.

The mixture is used for various skin care procedures. For instance they are both believed to contain anti oxidants that enhance cleansing properties. This makes them very efficient for facial treatments. They give the skin a certain type of glow after some minutes of application and washing it off. It brings about a youthful appearance.
