Cashews and Weight Loss


Weight problem is a topic that have found a wide coverage, especially due to the risks associated with it. For example, an increase in weight is not only dangerous but also fatal as it increases rates of heart attack, diabetes and other diseases.

There are many tips that have been put forward on the various ways to loose weight. Many of this tips are erroneous and misleading since they have not been proven scientifically to be effective. For example, fat is thought to be dangerous and that it should be avoided at all costs.

The truth is that there are various types of fats some of which are classified as healthy and which in fact promotes weight loss. It is therefore important for nutritionists and the general public to know the fats that are healthy and those that are unhealthy for the purpose of achieving good health and fitness.

Cashews

Cashews contain a lot of fat. Fat is important in our bodies for the provision of energy. The negative stigma that is associated with fat should therefore be discarded. Cashews contain one of the most healthy fats that can be utilized by the body without causing an increase in weight or risks of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack. Nuts such as cashews, hazel nuts and almonds are rich sources of fat that keeps your body healthy by aiding in shedding off the extra pounds. In other words, use healthy fats to fight unhealthy fats.

Monounsaturated fats

There are about 4 types of fat. They include monounsaturated, polyunsaturated ,saturated and trans fat. Monounsaturated fats top the list of the most healthy fats while trans fats are the worst and should be avoided because they drive cholesterol to high levels. This could increase your chances of suffering fatal diseases such as heart attack, stroke and diabetes.

Monounsaturated fats are healthy types of fats that help to keep your heart functioning properly. Cashew oil is liquid at room temperature and will only turn into solid form when frozen or kept under chilly conditions. The oils have a positive impact on your heart especially because they are able to bring down cholesterol levels. Some of the sources of monounsaturated fats include certain types of food and oils such as avocadoes,cashew nuts, peanut oil etc.

Consuming a lot of cashews will in the long run enable you to loose extra weight due to their high level of dietary fat that enables the reduction of cholesterol levels in your blood. Baked foods which are mostly refined for commercial purposes are some of the most dangerous foods because they contain trans fats. Cakes, doughnuts, potato chips are some of the foods that should be avoided especially by the people on diet.

Cashews also aid in reduction of weight by reducing the amount of food consumed. How ? Fat is oxidized slowly to produce energy. The slowness in the oxidation process enables you to remain satiated for a longer period of time thereby reducing the amount of your daily food intake. This also means that cashews will reduce your weight because you will no longer have cravings especially for sweetened and refined foods which are to blame for your overweight problems.

In conclusion, an addition of cashew oil into your diet is the most essential step towards your attempt to keep your body slim. Cashew oil is healthy and should be consumed to help fight excess fat especially around your belly where vital organs are positioned. Cashews and exercises is a magical formula for the obese and overweight persons.
